Welcome to my fractal art gallery! When I first discovered fractals, home computers were slow and had inexistent graphics abilities. Back then I was exploring simple functions, such as the Mandelbrot set (z' = z^2 + c, where the c = the initial value for z), by zooming in on tiny details. That was fun, but the computers of today are a lot faster, the graphics is infinitely better, and modern compilers offer simple ways to explore more complex functions. Nowadays, it is also a lot easier to create and share mind boggling animations. A still picture of a fractal has width and height, but it can be seen as having three dimensions, since and the colours represent the depth. When I vary the constant c in a formula, the picture twists and turns, and I can generate a sequence of frames for different values of the constant. I regard these fractal animations as having four dimensions - the 4th being time.
