Basically a Vlog/journal of my hobby playing games and studying history. I play boardgames and sometimes minis and TTRPGs. I take this seriously and not. I take it seriously because I want to honor the memory of those who fought, to understand why the battles turned out like they did, why did it happen, how did they impact the people in them, etc. It’s a fun hobby where I can talk history with a bunch of nerds. The games help me understand the battles. They also cause me to read and understand the social and political context, reasons, and consequences. Frankly this war stuff is crazy because of what we’re willing to do to each other. I wish/hope we can find a different approach to solving problems. I play all sides simply because they are there. I don’t play for their ideologies or to push agendas. I understand many of the sides had repugnant philosophies. And I understand that, generally, all sides have done things outside of accepted standards for the conduct of warfare.
