Welcome to the world of secret composers that the classical music establishment does not want people to know about! Why doesn't the establishment want people to know about them? I can only guess, but here are some of my guesses. They don't want to go to the trouble to add this music to the repertoire because it would cost more money. They might make less money from concerts and recordings because less people might want to hear this music. Risky! It's safer to stick with the standard, familiar repertoire. They see these composers' music as inferior and not worthy of being performed. I think they are misinformed about the composers. Many of these works have not been performed since the 1800s, so how can anyone have an informed opinion about them? I am speaking of my Obscure Melodists playlists which are mainly from the 1800s, but I have music of lesser known composers on my other playlists as well. I play the complete piece! No partial pieces of music. Enjoy!
