I've been riding motorcycles for a long time, and about 5 years ago, that journey propelled me into moto-camping. This often leads to camping offgrid in new places, often moving hundreds of miles over the course a day and needing to re-establish a campsite each night. This led me down a path of some minor bushcrafting, using knives and tools to set up camp, perform camp tasks, and process firewood. I received my first nice knife a few years ago, and it became my riding and camping companion. After destroying that knife (riding through a rainstorm), I had a buddy resharpen and restore it for me. After seeing what he was able to do with what was basically a pocket sharpener, I was hooked. I got into sharpening myself and I've dabbled in some knife buying and collecting.
