La Notte della Taranta è il più grande festival musicale dedicato al recupero della pizzica salentina e alla sua fusione con altri linguaggi musicali che vanno dalla world music al rock, dal jazz alla sinfonica. Nato nel 1998 su iniziativa dell'Unione dei Comuni della Grecìa Salentina e dell'Istituto Diego Carpitella, in questi anni il festival è cresciuto di dimensioni e prestigio culturale, e per la sua quindicesima edizione la presenza sul palco di Melpignano di Goran Bregović, musicista e compositore bosniaco di fama internazionale, sarà chiave di volta per un progetto originale in cui l'incontro delle culture popolari, balcanica e salentina, figlie dello stesso mare, per un giorno trasformeranno l'Adriatico in un momento di fecondo rapporto artistico.
