Rocío Campos has been working as a freelance documentary photographer and visual storyteller since 2020. Her particular focus is on understanding and portraying the intimacy of the everyday accross different cultures. During April 2022 she went to Ukraine as a photojournalist, where she carried out her most daring work: Psychological consequences of the Russian siege on the Ukrainian population. This study was carried out in audiovisual format, and includes photographic documentation of Ukrainians living in Lviv and Kyiv, as well as interviews with war victims. She further tends to explore themes of tradition, customs and spirituality. Her latest work is condensed to the photo album 'Eid al-Adha', made in In Lahcen, Morocco, where she had the chance to dive into the most idiosyncratic aspects of Islam and its religious festivities.
