But creating, maintaining, and manipulating even one heat map required so much time and effort that little was left for serious analysis. So we created the software we wanted someone to build, and Findicate.io was born. Creating, maintaining, and manipulating our heat maps is now a breeze: In seconds we can reorder rows, change the timescale, look at specific historical periods, recolor the data to exclude extreme data, and many other things which were either prohibitively difficult or just plain impossible in Excel. And never again do we need to copy and paste data and check for historical revisions. Our time is now spent on analysis and insight generation. And we've found that because they're so easy to create, we've created dozens more heat maps than we otherwise would have done previously.
