Wildlife agencies are slaughtering deer in states across the nation in hopes to "stop the spread" of a neurodegenerative demyelinating disease that is not contagious/infectious. CWD has the same pathology as the human neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, ALS, MS, Alzheimers, CJD, FTD, and Guillian-Barre Syndrome. It is the myelin of the brain and spinal cord that are degrading due to the lack of raw materials that are needed to make cholesterol. This cholesterol is what is needed for the myelin, which is 100% cholesterol. When the raw materials (minerals and nutrients) are available, the deer are able to make the proper cholesterol in their liver and therefore, a healthy myelin sheath in the brain and spinal cord. There is no such thing as a PRION.
