This channel features special lectures and educational presentations from the Brain Research Institute, University of California, Los Angeles. Established in the late 1950s, the Brain Research Institute ("BRI") is one of the oldest centers for neuroscience research in the world. Its mission is to act as a catalyst for education, outreach, and research collaborations among current and future scientists, engineers and clinicians who seek to understand the healthy and diseased brain. BRI membership consists of approximately 300 UCLA faculty members from nearly 30 academic departments. Many of these researchers are world renowned. Members come from a range of disciplines, from traditional medical school departments, to the Schools of Engineering, Dentistry, Nursing, Public Health, and the College of Letters and Science.
