I live in Santee, San Diego County, Southern California. I am a nature enthusiast. I love hiking and summiting mountain tops. I love to study the plant life and point out the amazing features of the areas I hike, sometimes going on and on I admit, but I am passionate about being on the trail, or sometimes cross-country if need be. I am in my early 40's (as of 2023) and trying to live a more active lifestyle than when I was in my 20's when I was lazy. I grew up loving nature, but in my 20's I lost some of the luster, only to regain it as I entered my 30's. Hiking is a release from the usually aggravating stress of working retail, so I try to hike when I can, although my work schedule often prevent me from doing the very long, challenging hikes I love to do when I am on vacation. My hikes are typically 4-8 miles round trip, but I have done (and plan in the future to do more) day hikes as long as 15-20 mi or longer round trip. Most hikes are in So Cal, but I do visit the Sierras.
