This channel, made for educational purposes only, is dedicated to the composers of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio (abbreviated form: PRES) - a Polish institution of electroacoustic music, which had been founded in 1957 (officially closed in 2004). The main purposes of the studio were creating audial illustrations for various radio plays or allowing composers to perform their own electronic, autonomous works. It was directed at first by Józef Patkowski - an ambitious musicologist. The very first autonomous work composed in the studio was Włodzimierz Kotoński's famous "Study for One Cymbal Stroke" (Etiuda na jedno uderzenie w talerz) from 1959. The most recognizable composers of PRES were: Eugeniusz Rudnik, Bohdan Mazurek, Włodzimierz Kotoński, Andrzej Dobrowolski, Bogusław Schaeffer, Krzysztof Penderecki, Krzysztof Knittel, Elżbieta Sikora, Arne Nordheim, Tomasz Sikorski, Andrzej Bieżan, Zbigniew Wiszniewski and many more.
