Tracing its history back more than 300 years, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers was created on 23 April 1968 when the four antecedent fusilier regiments, the Northumberland Fusiliers, the Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers, the Royal Fusiliers and the Lancashire Fusiliers, amalgamated.
