Zespół Lombard powstał w 1981 roku w Poznaniu przy Estradzie Poznańskiej. Pierwszy skład zespołu tworzyło trzech wokalistów Wanda Kwietniewska, Małgorzata Ostrowska i Grzegorz Stróżniak, grający również na instrumentach klawiszowych lider i kompozytor zespołu oraz muzycy: Maciej Szymański - instrumenty klawiszowe, Jeremi Sajkowski - gitara, Maurycy Przybyłowicz - bas, Krzysztof Kuźniak - perkusja. Składów Lombardu było kilkanaście, przez 40 lat w zespole Lombard grało 27 muzyków. W 1982 r. odeszła Wanda Kwietniewska (Wanda i Banda), a w 1991 r. Małgorzata Ostrowska, by rozpocząć solową karierę. Od 1999 roku wokalistką zespołu Lombard jest Marta Cugier. Skład zespołu Lombard tworzą: Marta Cugier - wokal, Grzegorz Stróżniak - lider, wokal, instr. klaw., Łukasz LUKI Kulczak - gitara, Paweł KOSA Kosicki - bas, Max Mińczykowski - perkusja. Lombard nagrał 10 płyt na których znajdują się dobrze znane i lubiane przeboje. „Śmierć dyskotece” 1983, „Wolne od cła” 1984 „Szara maść” 1984/„Hope and Penicillin” 1985, „Anatomia” 1985/„Wings of a Dove” 1986, „Kreacje” 1987, „Welcome home” 1990/„Rocking The East” 1991, „Deja’vu” 2000, „ShowTime” 2012, „Lombard swing” 2016. Lombard słynie ze świetnych koncertów. Te znalazły się na płytach: „Live” 1983, „Koncert” 1989, Afryka” 1994 i „20 lat - przeżyj to sam” z 2002 oraz na DVD z „Lombard w hołdzie Solidarności - drogi do wolności”. Zespół Lombard zagrał kilka tysięcy koncertów w Polsce i dla Polaków na całym świecie.
