Border War Stories is a channel focused on South Africa's 22 year long war in SWA/Namibia and Angola. More than 600 000 white males were called up for National Service in the South African Defence Force, a life changing experience for most of them. In 2010 veteran and filmmaker, Efpe Senekal embarked on a project to make a documentary film about the Border War. He set about interviewing a variety of old soldiers from generals to riflemen to document their personal experiences (probably 120 interviews), he also went on 2 expeditions to Angola and 1 to Zambia with groups of veterans to re-visit old battle fields. We aim to upload at least 1 episode per week and continue to collect stories from the these ordinary guys who did extraordinary things, a long time ago when they were soldiers.
