Nairi is an Armenian Rock Band formed in 2007 that composes and performs mainly in Heavy Metal genre of Rock music. The band name "Nairi" is the historical name of Armenia coming from the ancient times and is literally translated as "Land of Waters". The rock band's goal is to present the value and the importance of the Armenian culture, interesting historical facts and events as well as all the treasure and miracles of the Armenian mythology through its music, lyrics and painting. During the years of its activity the band has created and developed an absolutely unique style which is surely a "new sound" in music. It combines the structure, riffs and sounding of traditional Classic Rock (Heavy Metal) and the "ethnic" melodies of ancient Armenia thus giving birth to a breaking-new and beautiful Pure Armenian Heavy Metal.
