I created this channel in 2008 after fruitlessly searching for any classical guitar performances of Filipino music such as harana, kundiman, OPM, rock, alternative, etc. Back then there was virtually no Filipino classical guitarist performing on YouTube, let alone Filipino music being played by anyone. This has been may multi-year effort/project/passion with the main purpose of bringing Filipino traditional music to life and curating them for the current and future generation of Filipinos. This crying need for Filipino music is especially true for Filipinos who live far from the Motherland and who are either temporarily working abroad or have decided to make their new host country their home. As Filipinos, we always long for the things that connect us back to the Philippines and music is a very strong medium that enables everyone to maintain their national identity and culture.
