At The Ethical Dairy we do things differently - the most obvious difference is we keep the calves with their mother to suckle rather than separating them within a day or so of birth. Our ethical dairy model is based around treating the animals, the land our environment and the people that work here with respect and kindness. We use the organic milk to produce award winning unpasteurised artisan cheeses. Animal welfare and a focus on cow contentment is at the core of our activity here, and our approach to sustainable farming, based on ecological principles, is designed to work with nature rather than against it by deintensifying food production. On this channel we'll be posting updates on our attempt to revolutionise the dairy industry from our own wee farm in south west Scotland.
