On July 19, 2011, Capcom officially canceled Mega Man Legends 3. This video game would have resolved a cliffhanger that kept the series' fans hanging for over ten years. To make matters worse, Capcom had resurrected this series because of fan demand in the first place. They actively involved them in the game's development, promising them that they would release a downloadable prologue for the game to the public to gauge whether the game would sell enough for a full release.
