International Society for Cow Protection (ISCOWP) ISCOWP has a cow sanctuary in Gainesville Florida where it provides compassionate lifetime protection for 25 cows who have been rescued from slaughter. An additional 40 cows have been protected until their natural passing. The stories of these cows, their rescue, and subsequent lives at ISCOWP are the subjects of the videos uploaded on this channel. William and Irene Dove (Balabhadra and Chayadevi) are the founders of ISCOWP (established in 1990) and disciples of H.G. Srila Prabhupada, who is the Acharya of the Krishna Consciousness movement. At ISCOWP we believe that rescuing cows is not enough to make a significant change to the cruel treatment of cows in the dairy and meat industries. The demand for meat and dairy is what drives these industries. When more people follow a plant-based diet, it lessens the demand, and fewer cows suffer. Some of our videos will touch on this subject.
