Recovery Voices celebrates the lives and achievements of people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. A powerful voice of recovering people and their allies enhances our understanding of addiction and recovery, and helps challenge the stigmatisation of people with substance use problems and those on a recovery journey. We recognise the key role played by peer-led recovery communities in helping people recover from addiction, and encourage and support the development of such inspirational initiatives. Recovery Voices was founded by David Clark and Wulf Livingston. David is an Emeritus Professor of Psychology, and former Director of the grassroots initiative Wired In, who moved from South Wales to Perth, Western Australia, in 2008. Wulf is a Professor of Alcohol Studies at Wrexham University in North Wales.
