Athena is a rescue cat. She was left in a cardboard box with her kittens at a shelter in 2021. She was 2 years old at that time. No knowing her background we have worked to get to know each other. Each day her personality has come out a little more. Being a Manx cat she loves to hunt and insists on going out. Having no fear and living on a busy street has set up some challenges for her to be outside. The compromise was to put her on a harness and leash. It took sometime for both of us to get used to it. But her desire to be outside, hunt, climb trees and explore has overcome any problems with being on a leash. It has been her incentive to start walking down the side walk. She loves to meet people and adventure. The leash stops her from running in front of cars or climbing trees too high.
