Her father is Ryuichi Sakamoto, and her mother is Akiko Yano. She made her debut as a singer under the name of “Ryuichi Sakamoto feat. Sister M.” Since then, she started her singing career under her real name. In addition to being a musician, she is also a writer, narrator and theater actor. At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony, she performed as the vocalist for the Para Orchestra. She wrote the lyrics for “Luminance feat.
