Like many, Rondo grew up around a neighborhood filled with poverty, struggle and unfortunately shootings and death. Growing up he played basketball and similarly to many other kids, he hoped that sports would one day lead to him finding a way out of their circumstances. During his childhood, there was a “closet studio” at one of Rondo’s neighbor’s houses and although Rondo spent a lot of time in the booth, he wasn’t taking it seriously. In 2013 HitEmUp Rondo and a few friends started their movement and in 2016 made it official by starting their label, OnTopForever.
