The goal of this channel is to bring you back in time and let you experience the past as if you were there. I transform historic mostly silent black & white and often damaged footage into high-quality restored versions adding a whole new dimension to the video. This gives the viewer a completely different impression of the past. It suddenly becomes alive and feels real. The specific processing steps differ between videos but include noise removal, stabilization, colorization, frame interpolation, and upscaling. Further, for many videos, I carefully add ambiance sounds to really make the video vivid. For these steps, I use a mixture of classical editing and modern machine learning methods.
