Fondato all'interno della Parrocchia di Malo (VI) nel 1997 da giovani ragazze appassionate del canto, il coro ha preso forma andando a dividersi al suo interno per creare diverse possibilità di animazione liturgica. Nel 2012 si è formato un gruppo nuovo, composto dai giovani "di oggi" e nel gennaio 2013 la direzione del coro è passata a Riccardo Lapo. Ha cominciato così ad ampliare il proprio repertorio, iniziando a conoscere il grande mondo della musica sacra e giovanile, assaggiando il canto gregoriano, alla ricerca di una propria precisa vocalità. Nel 2014 ha partecipato al 23’ Meeting Internazionale dei Giovani a Schio, trasmesso in diretta streaming sul sito dell’evento, con circa 35.000 collegamenti da tutto il mondo. Si è dato così un’identità attraverso il nuovo nome "Gruppo Corale Xinfonia", convinto che la promozione della cultura musicale e corale debba vivere e crescere in ognuno in maniera forte e viva, attraverso lo stare assieme, il “far coro”.
