Rick Ray, best known for his 2006 award-winning documentary “10 Questions for The Dalai Lama,” has relaunched his website, RetroFootage, com, to include a new comprehensive online library featuring more than 350,000 masterfully restored archival stock footage films and clips. Available for license in film, television, advertising and corporate uses, the database contains clips from more than 100,000 original films. We are actively digitizing hundreds of films which are found almost nowhere else. Our team of expert archival researchers finds films in the public domain which have seldom been digitized from our huge vault of 16mm films in Burbank, California. Our goal is to bring these long lost films to life and license them as stock footage to producers who need these materials. From the raising of the American flag on Iwo Jima in color to Thomas Edison in his workshop to the March on Washington, RetroFootage.com now offers footage of the moments and events that define us.
