With a tradition of over 120 years, TeraPlast is currently one of the most important suppliers of construction, installation and decoration solutions on the Romanian market. Since 2008, the company has been listed at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with the symbol TRP. TeraPlast is the biggest PVC pipes (polyvinyl chloride) producer in Romania (with a market share of almost 43%) and the second biggest producer of PP pipes (polyethylene or polypropylene) with an estimated market share of 29%. Between 2009 and 2011 the company invested over 26 million euros in the relocation of its production capacities from Bistrita to the TeraPlast Industrial Park, outside the town. Recently, TeraPlast Group inaugurated two external production plants: TeraPlast Hungary and TeraSteel Serbia.
