26年6月12日New Single "ARCADIA"リリース!! https://open.spotify.com/intl-ja/album/0oXEejtvQFvtqWzjRwNuJ9?si=iXehdSssR424ThgmulZymA 23年5月にリリースした「雨の夜と桃源郷」がSpotify台湾バイラルチャート1位を獲得するなど、アジア圏を中心に海外での活動の幅を広げるALBATROSS。 98年、名古屋にて高校時代の同級生である、海部(Vo)、一見(Gt)、小林(Ba)にて結成。その後、同じ専門学校に通う大野(Dr)が加わる。当時は年間100本以上のライブを全国各地で行い、ライブバンドとしてインディーズ・シーンの中核を担う存在となったが、09年のライブを最後に活動を休止。その後10年以上の活動休止を経て、22年3月に当時のメンバーが集まり活動を再開し12年ぶりのシングル「ECHOED」をリリース。 23年2月からは9ヶ月に及ぶ連続リリース企画「9Chants」を実施し、活動再開から1年半で instagram/YouTube のフォロワーが1万人を突破するなど、インディペンデントでの活動としては異例のペースでリリース毎に急速にリスナーを増やし続けている。国内では2024年1月に渋谷 duo Music Exchange、10月にはclubasiaにてワンマンライブを成功させ、逆輸入型のような異色の活動を行っている。 また、ALBATROSS全ての楽曲の作曲 / 作詞 / アレンジ、ジャケットアートワークのデザイン、MVのクリエイティブディレクションに至るまで全ての監修を担うVoの海部は、20 代でのバンド活動休止後、09年にブランディング会社であるSTUDIO DETAILS を創業し様々な著名企業のブランディングを行なった後、21年にM&Aにて同社をイグジット。19年には、並行して事業開発やコンサルティングを提供する株式会社 BOLDを創業し現在も代表を務めるなど、ビジネスフィールドでのキャリアを生かしALBATROSSの活動を推進する。また、海部は第76・77 代内閣総理大臣である海部俊樹の甥っ子にあたる。 https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%B5%B7%E9%83%A8%E6%B4%8B
