Since I remember I was fascinated with circles and I have found them everywhere I looked. When my first grade teacher handed me a small rubber band ball as a tool to overcome my anxiety during class, I immediately started making my own and it has become a hobby. Before I knew it the ball weighed over 20...500...100 lbs, and I could no longer lift it alone. By the time the ball grew over 100 lbs, I have heard about Waul's ball. the current record holder of the World's biggest rubber band ball. His ball weighs over 9000 lbs. I was fortunate to see it in person and even sit on top of it back in 2011, I believe, when the ball was stored at Ripley's warehouse in Orlando, FL. The company even got a small write up published about me in their Ripley's Believe it or Not book. This was when I decided to break the World record and I haven't stopped building my ball since. My biggest challenge now is to get rubber bands, but I'm hoping that I'll find a sponsor soon, maybe even two. 😊 🤞
