Carnaval the "Stoner Rock Blues Mental" from Slovenia are known for their uncompromising stoner rock #stonerrock drive, and are pioneers of such sound in Slovenia. The group was formed in 2004 by Ažo Vokal, Matej Šetinc – Mato and Jan Kozlevčar – Kozu at the infamous Baraka, first under the name of Pinocchio Pinchball. In 2005 the band was renamed to Carnaval. Other notable members of the band are: Jernej Kržič, Peter Cimprič - Sacco di Tempo and Vitja Balžalorsky. They have recorded and released four full-length albums, all self-released except "Miss Universe" which was released on KAPA Records for the CD edition and Cosmic Eye for the limited LP edition. The albums are "2" (2009), "1" (2010), "Tennis Football Basketball" (2012) and "Miss Universe" (2016). Lyrically they flow between social and less social themes, with a strong satirical note with a pinch of cynicism.
