Aamito Lagum is a Ugandan Fashion model and Entrepreneur based NewYork. Born and raised in the capital of Uganda, Kampala. Aamito was discovered at the age of 16 but her big break came in 2014 when she won Africa’s Next Top Model by Oluchi. Since then, Aamito has worked with names like Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Burberry, Hugo Boss, Brandon Maxwell, made the covers of Allure, Vogue Ukraine, Elle UK and appearances in American , British, Japan , Russian Vogues among others. In light of philanthropy, Aamito’s heart took her back to her home country in the summer of 2017 to the world’s second largest settlement camp at the time, Bidi Bidi. This trip with actor Daniel Gillies led to Aamito meeting the selfless volunteers of Oxfam, an organization she has been keen to work with since. Aamito is also the Ambassador of Women at work international (WAWI), a Ugandan organization with the main purpose of improving the quality of life of women.
