Live from the Local was born out of the 2021-2022 Covid shutdown. With the venue closed, contractors not working, and musicians not performing, we knew we needed to do something to keep meeting our mission of presenting the performing arts. With help from Bryce Mata, Maiya Legardye, Jay James and Brandon Mata we were able to create a livestreaming stage and present 35 mid-Michigan acts, all of whom were paid for their performances! This program is sponsored by the Greater Flint Arts Council’s Share Art Genesee Grant Program made possible by the Genesee County Arts Education and Cultural Enrichment Millage funds.
