I consider myself an 'accidental' YouTube story teller. I started posting trip videos on YouTube solely to share the adventures with my family. Back then (2009) YouTube was simply a video sharing service, sort of like Flikr for still photos. But then I noticed other 'random people' starting watching the videos too, which seemed strange and surprised me... 'why would anyone watch my videos?!' The feedback in the comments told me something about the videos resonated with folks so I kept it going, got better at capturing video and editing, and adapted over time. The 'feel' I attempt to capture in all of my videos has been to make the viewer feel like they are 'along for the ride' with me on the trips. Viewer feedback tells me I've been somewhat successful achieving that goal (and perhaps a bit unique). I don't publish many videos compared to others but I can assure you that whatever I do publish is the best that I can put together.
