The objective is to determine scientifically, the dates of events narrated in Ramayan, Mahabharat and Vedic literature. Mrs Saroj Bala devised a unique methodology of extracting planetary references from these texts and then determined their exact dates, using planetarium soft wares. These are thereafter compared with archaeological & paleo-botanical, oceanographic & geographical, genetic & remote sensing proofs, received from eminent scientists of respective disciplines. Sequential dates of events narrated in these texts covered time span from 7000 to 3000 BCE. These texts have thus been moved from the realm of mythology to the domain of history, also establishing that indigenous civilization has been developing in India for last 10,000 years, since the beginning of Holocene.
