Registered in 2018, FASD Awareness South East is a charity with a clear vision - where women do not drink alcohol during pregnancy and individuals living with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) are identified, recognised and valued. ​ At FASD Awareness South East we follow the Chief Medical Officer UK's recommendation that, "If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, the safest approach is not to drink alcohol at all to keep risks to your baby to a minimum. Drinking in pregnancy can lead to long term harm to the baby". ​ Our aim is to promote awareness of FASD in a positive way by educating women on the harmful effects of drinking whilst pregnant, as well as providing support, education and resources on the condition to parents, carers, health professionals, teachers, justice professionals and service providers.
