私たち”御室金剛講”は、真言宗御室派 総本山仁和寺を拠点として『御詠歌』をお唱えし、布教活動を行っている真言宗僧侶の団体です。 御詠歌とは日本古来の宗教音楽で、約千年前、花山法皇が、西国三十三観音霊場を巡礼し修行された際、各霊場に残された和歌に節が付き、次第に御詠歌となっていったと言われております。その後、御詠歌は歌詞の内容が巡礼に留まらず、信仰や鎮魂の意味合いをもつ曲も誕生していきました。 大正１５年４月１日　御詠歌を研鑽し、その素晴らしさを全国に広める組織、金剛講が高野山大師教会に創設され、昭和４年、天野山金剛寺第７６世、曾我部俊雄和尚が初代高野山金剛講総本部詠監に就任以降、古来より存在していた大和流や妙音流などの詠歌を整備し、旋法、音階や音符などの基本的な楽理を編纂、さらには新しい作曲などを多く発表され「金剛流」を大成されました。 平成２７年に真言宗御室派 総本山仁和寺にて創立された『御室金剛講』は令和7年（2025年）に10周年を迎え、御詠歌の伝統を「過去」ではなく、「今を映す鏡」として見つめ直すべく日々布教活動を行っています。
