My name is Daniel Byrd, and I am a student at East Carolina University. I’ve grown up living in North Carolina all of my life, and can say I enjoy the peace of the places I’ve lived; they make perfect writing atmospheres. I’ve always been a fan of science fiction and military fiction. I read Tom Clancy all throughout high school per suggestion by a friend, and then got turned to Larry Correia, writer of the “Grimnior Chronicles,” “Monster Hunter International,” and “Dead Six,” books. His works are my biggest inspirations, next to the stories of Hideo Kojima’s “Metal Gear” series. I’ve always wanted to be an author, and took up creative writing early in high school as a hobby. I hope my works entertain others, dark as they can be. I’m currently sitting on a book that I’ve decided to self-publish, but I’d like to know if people like my style of writing before I launch it for everyone to enjoy.
