In 2005, four high school buddies from Bradenton, Florida, came together to form the rock group We the Kings. The group was made up of Travis Clark (lead singer/guitarist), Hunter Thomsen (guitarist), his brother Drew Thomsen (bass guitar) and drummer Danny Duncan. After some touring as a support group from 2005-2006, the band signed with EMI's Imprint S-Curve Records in early 2007. Later that year, they released their self-titled debut album to modest success. After the release of their second album, "Smile Kid," in 2009, the band began to receive some decent notoriety. That second album produced two top 40 hits including, "We'll Be A Dream" (featuring Demi Lovato). Over the next two years, the band maintained a hard working profile as they signed on for tour after tour. In 2011, all the hard work began to payoff with the release of their third album titled, "Sunshine State of Mind." The album peaked at #45 on Billboard's Hot 200 Album Chart and spawned two successful singles in "Friday Is Forever" and "Say You Like Me," which earned the group an MTV Music Award for Most Innovative Music Video Of The Year. While on tour in late 2011, bass guitarist Drew Thomsen decided to leave the band and he was replaced by Charles Trippy. The band then added Coley O'Toole to play keyboard and rhythm guitar. We the Kings spent most of 2012 on an international tour that took them to many European venues and coastal areas of Australia. In 2013, the band released their fourth album, Somewhere Somehow.
