Every trip I take is thought out well in advance. I'm not very impulsive! I particularly love National Parks and locations where there is beauty and history. Many years ago I worked in the tourism industry for more than a decade. I worked for the public relations department of the Calgary Stampede (for 3 years) and then for more than 10 years with Tourism Calgary (once known as the Calgary Tourist and Convention Bureau and then the Calgary Convention and Visitors Bureau). I had a direct role in promoting tourism attractions and the infrastructure supporting tourism (hotels, restaurants, transportation). This channel is dedicated to my father-in-law, Dr. Buzz Ely.
