As a protégé of Japan's top studio musicians group, Mariko has achieved an extensive career as a recording artist for many artists/the film/the commercials including the Grammy won film "Dune Part 2". Currently she is on the Hans Zimmer Live with Hans Zimmer. チェリスト(Acoustic/Electric)であり、Cirque du Soleilやマドンナの日本人初のミュージシャン。4歳よりViolinとPianoを8歳よりCelloを始め、東京芸術大学在学中から、VanillaMoodやソリストとして多くのレコーディング・テレビにて演奏を行い、現在、映画界の巨匠ハンスジマーのツアーにソリストとして演奏する傍ら、自身のオリジナル作品の幅も広げる。ソロで参加した映画Dune Part 2がグラミー賞を獲得。Cirque du Soleil「MICHAEL JACKSON The Immortal World Tour」、「Zumanity」、Madonnaのツアーにソリストとして参加。
