Lino Miele spent long periods in Mysore studying directly with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, eventually receiving Guruji's blessing to write the foundational book Ashtanga Yoga: The Yoga of Breath. Pattabhi Jois asked Lino to start teaching at a time when Ashtanga yoga was virtually unknown outside India. He was among the first Western students to receive this transmission—and among the few to bring it to Europe with full loyalty to the original method, including the Full Vinyasa, today rarely taught in its complete form. Over four decades, Lino has built an international community of practitioners: from Italy across Europe, from Russia to Argentina, and to India. India remains dear to Lino. For more than thirty years he has held a winter retreat in Kovalam, running from December through early February. This channel is his archive.
