Comer from the underground clan; S’thembiso Shabalala, best known as Athel, began his rap music journey at 13 years of age - ‘09. In his high school Hip Hop Dancing Era, he was smitten by the art of rap battle & performance, which since that very moment kept him drawn to the Mastery of Rap. He’s worked w/ battle rappers in his Home City, Newcastle. Made unofficial collaborations with rappers, DJ’s & producers to build his name. In that process, he was learning the ropes of rap. ‘10 - ‘15, the man was a raw street Khat with no intentions of recognition. ‘16, rebranding occured.. Athel opted to go mainstream by starting to mingle with more commercial rappers, recording more & ended up opening a record label - Atheldom Sounds. ‘18, his 1st single Emotions was born. ‘19, he assembled a band called RareBreed. ‘20, he took initiative of learning how to freestyle while doing it - ‘From Basic To Beast’. To date, he is indeed growing from basic rapper to beast. His first Studio Project is Due.
