Originaire du Maroc, mais établi à Montréal depuis son adolescence, Benny Adam fait ses premiers pas dans le monde de la production hip-hop à l'âge de 16 ans. En 2015, l’artiste autodidacte co-réalise l’album de Niro chez Capitol Music France et obtient son premier disque d’or.  Ensuite, il travaille avec Zaho, une artiste canado-algérienne qui connaît un immense succès en France. L’envie de chanter le prend alors par surprise et il débarque en 2019, avec son premier EP solo intitulé La Barquetterie. Dès la parution de ce Ep, à laquelle collaborent plusieurs artistes dont Rymz, Nayra, David Lee, Obia Le Chef, Tizzo et MB pour ne nommer que ceux-là , la réaction est instantanée : l’extrait « Fais ton shift » cumule plus de 1,2 million de vues sur YouTube. Il aiguise ensuite sa signature sonore avec La Barquetterie SS2 paru en mai 2020 en offrant un savoureux mélange de pop urbaine infusée de raï marocain et de sonorités caribéennes, et de hip-hop sur fond d’afrobeat.
