Hi everyone! This is the official YouTube Channel of the Gavel Club of the University of Colombo. The Gavel Club of the University of Colombo which was set up in November 2014 is an affiliate of Toastmasters International. It is the only club which focuses on enhancing leadership and communication skills in the English language for the Undergraduates in the entire University. We meet every week at the University premises for our Educational Meetings where members are given a supportive, positive environment to develop their speaking, listening and leadership skills. The club is open to all the Faculties and fluency in English is NOT required to join the club. At Gavel – you can be yourself and express your ideas and views over an audience and improve yourself as a communicator as well as a leader. In the present era – communication is not an option.
