We are UNCOMMON Farmer owned roastery & cafe dedicated to spreading love and coffee one cup at a time. Inclusivity, celebrating diversity, giving back to our communities, partnering with coffee farmers, roasting ethically sourced and environmentally conscious coffee & incorporating sustainable practices are at the heart of our core values. Originally founded in 1994 by queer owners our cafe became the first safe space in the Saugatuck area. Two of Uncommon’s longtime partner farmers, Bruno Nobre and Mauricio DaSilva, took over the business in 2021. Both come from a long line of multigenerational coffee farmers in Brazil. Bruno & Mauricio continue to work closely with coffee producers to bring you some of the world’s finest coffees. UCR takes pride in offering a variety of delicious and unique coffees & coffee products wholesale & retail, locally & nationally while also creating &maintaining sustainable partnerships with customers, coffee producers & everyone in between.
