FAMY was an indie folk-rock band from West London best known for their sweeping, cinematic 2014 anthem "Ava". The group consisted of four childhood friends who grew up together and attended school in the South of France. Their music was celebrated for its grand, atmospheric soundscapes that combined traditional indie-folk elements - like deep vocal harmonies and raw acoustic textures - with a widescreen, percussion-heavy rock energy reminiscent of bands like WU LYF and Mumford & Sons. Their first and only full-length album, We Fam Econo, was produced by legendary BBC Maida Vale engineer Miti Adhikari (Nirvana, Radiohead) and recorded over a intense 10-day summer session inside an old working chapel in Wales. The echo-heavy acoustics of the church walls heavily shaped the album's signature booming, spiritual aesthetic.
