Das Synthpop-Duo GbR wurde 1997 im Großraumbüro eines internationalen Telefonanbieters von den Mitarbeitern Joshua Pfeiffer und Xaver Held gegründet. Mit Einflüssen aus NDW, New Wave, Trance und Hypnagogic Pop schreiben GbR Lieder, die es eigentlich hätte geben müssen, es aber nie gab. Was anfangs nur als verzweifelter Fluchtversuch aus dem grauen Büroalltag galt, entwickelte sich schnell zu deutschlandweiten Live-Shows, großen Hymnen und stets gefüllten Bierkrügen. Nach dem endgültigen Bruch des Duos mit ihrem börsennotierten Ex-Arbeitgeber bleibt abzuwarten, was sich die langjährigen Arbeitskollegen der Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts als nächstes einfallen lassen.
