Walt Powell is a music producer, film composer, AI Hybrid and the founder of WPAI Productions, crafting cinematic scores that fuse over four decades of Rock, Jazz, and Neo-Classical Metal experience combined with AI. While his work is defined as an AI Hybrid, every track is built upon his original melodies. Rising through the Columbus, Ohio music scene in the '80s and '90s, Walt was first recognized by Sue Wiggins of QFM96 after getting second place in "The Battle Of The Bands". He later caught the ear of Michael Molenda, the long-time Editor-in-Chief of Guitar Player Magazine, who featured him in the October 2007 issue ("RIFFS: MySpace Hordes"). At the time Michael referred to him as another Yngwie Malmsteen clone, but most of the review was positive. Today, Walt operates as a Modern Day Composer/AI Hybrid. All music was originally written and played on guitar, then later adapted to A.I. Unless otherwise stated all of the AI tunes were created from Walt's original music.
