Vencedora de dois Grammys Latinos como melhor disco de samba, Mart'nália gravou 12 álbuns de estúdio e 4 DVDs Ao Vivo. Mart’nália toca samba desde que nasceu. Acompanhando seu pai, Martinho da Vila, nas rodas de samba da Vila Isabel’s ainda muito jovem, ela se apaixonou pelo ritmo. Foi lá que ela aprendeu a dançar samba, cantar, tocar violão e pandeiro. Ela começou sua carreira profissional aos 16 anos, como vocalista de seu pai ao lado de sua irmã Analimar. Na metade dos anos 90, ela iniciou a se apresentar no circuito de bares, boates e teatros no Rio de Janeiro, o que a levou a lançar seu primeiro álbum de samba, intitulado Minha Cara. Mart'nália teve o privilégio de ser reconhecida por grandes nomes da Música Popular Brasileira. Caetano Veloso foi o diretor artístico de seu álbum Pé de meu Samba, tendo composto a faixa-título e Maria Bethânia dirigiu o álbum Menino do Rio. A partir destes dois álbuns, Mart'nália iniciou a atrair grande atenção da mídia, apresentando-se ao vivo por todo o Brasil e então internacionalmente com turnês na Europa e África.
