Hi! I've been a chemistry professor for 25+ years and I was awarded Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation, so you can be sure that everything you learn here is on-point and well taught. This channel combines my expertise in chemistry with my keen ear, kindness, and love of ASMR to create soothing educational videos that you can use to help you study or relax. Teaching is my passion, and I’m thrilled to make these videos for you. Thank you for watching, liking, sharing, and subscribing. I’m so glad you’re here! Fun facts about me: I have given 3 TEDx talks. Search "TEDx Karen Holman" or "TEDx Karen McFarlane Holman" to find them. I have another YouTube channel called @chemistryrockstar where you'll find another (more energetic) version of me teaching both college-/high school-level chemistry. I play guitar in a punk band called City of Pieces. We have a YouTube channel @cityofpieces and our albums are on Spotify. I have a corgi named Neil - @neil.thecorgi on IG!
